Toronto? Center of the hockey universe?

So the latest person to proclaim Toronto as hockey Meca is recently acquired Toronto Maple Leaf, Phil Kessel.

I have heard this phrase so many times, but what makes Toronto a MECA for hockey over any other city. There barely a fan alive who remembers them winning a championship.

What about Detroit?
What about New York?
What about Montreal?

Toronto? Self proclaimed or earned?

Ripper is calling bullshit on this one.

Meca? Okefor? Doesn’t me play basketball? And not for the Raptors.

    OK that’s a ” T “…..Hey Ref, You Suck!

PS. Kessel is fragile and a whiner….at 21, he’s survived cancer, mono and now Burke trades for damaged goods, having gone under the knife for shoulder surgery on Sept 9and trades for him less than one week later? HOLY hell Burke, YOU suck! Not one 1st rounder not 2 first rounders but wey…let’s throw in a 2nd rounder too! OMG.

Oh and Kessel in interviews says that it was clear things weren’t going to work out in Boston….wait a second “kid”….at 20 years old you KNOW this? Maybe you’re just a punk and trouble in the dressing room….if I had Kane’s phone number I’d pass it along, it might be 1-288-20C-ENTS. Sigh………sheesh there are some real no-minds in the major leagues.
